Choppers are a segment of motorcycles that have their roots firmly entrenched in an American culture which kicked off in the 1950s. The big bikes with their over-the-top styling cues have gone on to find a following across the globe and even in India, we have seen custom workshops rolling out ‘chopped’ bikes.

Looking at the demand and the manner in which the high-end motorcycle market is shaping up in India, Avantura is setting up headquarters out of Mumbai and also a manufacturing unit in Maharashtra. At present, the company is in the process of getting the ARAI certification done for their products and believes there is a lot of potential in the market for their exquisitely crafted machines.

The bikes from the company will have a base engine displacement of 2,000 cc and will be built to offer an enhanced level of comfort and safety. While the engines come from USA-based S&S, the motorbike’s Promo 6-speed transmission will be provided by US-based company Rivera.

The suspension systems are from a US-based company called Progressive, while the tyres will come from Avon which is based in the UK. The Beringer brake calipers will come in from France and the seats will be provided by US-based Mustang.

With Indian riders evolving and searching for new experiences, Avantura Choppers is keen on catering to that segment with their premium motorcycles. While the company has made its entry, the products will be launched in the market by the end of 2017.
