Ever since its launch back in 2014, the Porsche Macan has gone on to do great numbers, having sold over 3,50,000 units globally. No doubt, the Macan has built a name for itself as a true blue-blooded Porsche, despite its modest size. Now, the manufacturer is ready with the new Macan which boasts of a series of enhancements that make it a better package than before.

Stylish contours
Following the same design philosophy that the German brand employs on its larger SUV, the Macan is truly a study in design and it looks striking no matter which angle you view it from. Key features include a three dimensional LED tail light strip and LED headlights. In fact, the lighting is reminiscent of the iconic 911 and the 918 Spyder which adds to the vehicle’s appeal. The new model now looks wider than its predecessor and this also helps enhance its sporty stance.

Classic cabin
Finished in fine materials, the cabin of the car has been crafted to perfection. You also get an option of going with a GT sports steering wheel which is similar to that of the 911 and you can also opt for the Sports Chrono Package which includes a number of added extras in terms of creature comforts such as a heated windscreen and ioniser to improve air quality in the cabin. Add to that, the automobile gets the new Porsche Communication Management package which caters to all your connectivity needs. This includes a full-HD 11-inch touchscreen that is similar to what you find in the Panamera and the Cayenne.

Optimised chassis
Despite having the dimensions of a compact SUV, this iterant has been built to drive and handle like a sports car. After all, it is a Porsche and those traits are the very DNA of the brand. In order to deliver that level of dynamic driving ability, the brand has tuned the chassis to offer an exceptional amount of stability and comfort. The Macan boasts of having different width tyres up front and at the rear and you also get the all-wheel-drive Porsche Traction Management system.

Prime performer
The new car is offered in a number of trim levels and this includes different engine options as well. The base S variant is expected to come with a 300 bhp engine, while the top of the line turbo version will have a 434 bhp motor. Having said that, these engines are known for their peppy nature and no matter what you choose, the Macan will deliver an adrenaline-infused experience. Expected to launch later this year, the Macan should have an on-road price tag between `90 lakh-`1.50 crore.
