Created by Land Rover Design and Special Vehicle Operations, the SV Coupé is a limited edition two-door SUV that boasts of a high level of craftsmanship and retains the DNA of being a very capable off-roader as well. The manufacturer is looking at rolling out just 999 units of the SV Coupé with each unit being handcrafted for clients across the globe.
According to the company, this automobile is a celebration of the Range Rover bloodline that takes on a dynamic new stance thanks to the two-door treatment. Having said that, the car still offers comfortable seating for four passengers in a cabin that is finished with exquisite materials to ensure that you are seated in the lap of luxury.
The provocateur
This vehicle’s design follows the theme that is clearly visible on all Range Rover offerings. The iconic silhouette, signature floating roof, continuous waist, and tapering tail are all part of the package and just one look is enough to prove that this model is destined to turn heads. Add to that, this unique two-door SUV also boasts of frameless doors, a panoramic sunroof, and a contemporary ambience.
Incidentally, the SV Coupé is also the fastest-ever full-size Range Rover. It is powered by a 565 PS 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol powertrain which is capable of taking this SUV from 0-100 kmph in a shade over 5.0 seconds! It is also the first Range Rover to ride on 23-inch wheels. Set to launch at the end of 2018, we are hoping for a few make it to our shores.
