Rolls-Royce had announced over three years ago that they would step into the SUV space with a
product that would take luxury motoring to a whole new level. The end result of that product development story is the Cullinan, a car that the brand says you can take to the end of the Earth.

The new avatar
Cullinan has those characteristic headlights and iconic front grille treatment to ensure that you don’t forget the brand. The SUV, however, has been crafted to cater to a new younger generation of customers who want a vehicle that can take them off the beaten track, yet cater to their every need in terms of luxury travel. It is a vehicle that looks majestic, yet has the ability to handle the rough stuff.

Kitted for comfort
The car awakes at the touch of the unlock button on the bespoke key and lowers itself by 40 mm to allow for easy passenger entry. The cabin itself is a work of art and is crafted from the finest of materials. It’s luxurious, spacious, and comfortable and comes with a host of features to ensure you have a great and safe time on board.

These include a digital instrument cluster, a central information touchscreen, Night Vision and Vision Assist, day/night-time wildlife and pedestrian warning, Alertness Assistant, a four-Camera system with panoramic view, all-round visibility, and helicopter view, Active Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Cross-Traffic Warning, Lane Departure and Lane Change Warning, a 7x3 High-Resolution Head-Up Display, WiFi hotspot, and of course, the latest Navigation and Entertainment Systems.

Refined performance
Powering this machine is a new 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that delivers 563 bhp of peak power and 850 Nm of torque. The first ever four-wheel drive vehicle from the manufacturer ensures that even if you travel to where no Rolls-Royce has ever been before, you will do so in ultimate comfort. The Magic Carpet Ride suspension system does millions of calculations every second to adjust the suspension in order to offer a smooth ride impresses off-road as well as on-road.

Verdict
The Cullinan is a first-class lounge on wheels. The brand lives up to their name and has thought of everything to ensure that it delivers in terms of comfort, class and convenience. Yes, it might be an SUV, but it is a Rolls-Royce in every manner and its pedigree cannot be argued. Expected to be priced between `5-6 Crore.
