India has a burgeoning population of affluent youngsters and as their spending power grows, so do their demands for the finer things in life. Mercedes-Benz knows this only too well and with a growing trend of younger customers walking in through their doors, the company has decided to roll out a new variant of the CLA sedan to cater to this crowd!
Further enhancing their line up is the CLA Urban Sport, which will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol model comes powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-litre unit that delivers 184 hp of power and 300 Nm of torque. It can go from 0-100 kmph in 7.1 seconds and can hit a top speed of 240 kmph. It comes with a carbon-style rear spoiler, a fantastic-looking Cosmos Black paint scheme, a fancy ‘sport’ badge, branded floor mats and illuminated door sills, and automatic two-zone climate control rear centre vents.
The diesel vehicle is powered by a 2.2-litre engine that develops 136 hp and 300 Nm of torque. It is capable of doing the 0-100 kmph dash in 9 seconds and can hit a top speed of 220 kmph. The Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 Urban Sport (Petrol) and CLA 200 d Urban Sport (Diesel) are priced at `35.99 lakh and `36.99 lakh respectively.
