Mughdha Godse, the tall, dusky and charismatic actress will always be remembered for her impressive perfor mance in Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Fashion. Though after that , Mugdha appeared in a couple of Hindi and South Indian films, and TV shows, the actress hasn’t made as much an impact as she did with her first film. But Mugdha isn’t someone to let go of things easily.
The actress will be back on the silver screen with the comedy Sharmaji Ki Lag Gayi, opposite Krushna Abhishek. “It is a situational comedy about an incident that misfires,” says Mugdha. The actress also turned producer earlier this year with a short web film.
Titled Drishtti, the film is streaming on Hungama TV. “It is a mystery about two women,” says the actress who thinks this is the right time to work in the online medium. “Within the last decade, the industry has progressed a lot and the content is way better. It’s stories about common life and characters that sell and have made an impact . I would love to work in such stories both in films and for the digital platform,” she adds.
Mugdha has managed to stay fit looks the same as she did when she entered the industry. Her secret, she reveals is yoga, “I follow Ashtang a yoga and do a series of surya namaskara and asanans every day. It’s a combination of stretching and cardio workouts. I practise in a room without an AC. I am able to bend better to get deep into any asana,” she says.
When it comes to her diet, Mugdha eats six small meals in a day but there isn’t any fixed routine. “I also fast once in two months for three days to completely detox my body,” she adds. In addition to her workout and diet, the actress likes to pamper her skin. “I love massages and get it done regularly,” says Mugdha who was in Bengaluru to inaugurate a luxury salon.
