A walk to remember

Here's all you need to know about Hyderabad's parties last week.
A walk to remember

Be the change, said Tollywood A-listers in unison this Thursday, as they walked the ramp for Teach for Change at the Falaknuma Palace. The fundraiser featured legendary actress Jaya Bachchan, who set the ball rolling on the red carpet, while actress Aditi Rao Hydari, a special guest, and scores of other stars cheered her. The 101-seater dining table was full for dinner and proved that Hyderabad has a heart when it comes to social causes. Actors Vijay Devarakonda, Kriti Kharbanda, Rakul Preet Singh and Lakshmi Manchu were the clear favourites of the day. Meanwhile, the ladies of Sanskruti Club hosted a private party at Taj Vivanta on Thursday. The Bollywood-themed do had guests dressed as Deepika Padukone and Rekha, who later savoured some quirky ice cream flavours from Cream Stone.

Friday evening was filled with music. Singer Nakash Aziz, popular for his song Gandi Baat and Dhating Naach, performed at a concert in TKR Institutions. On the other end, Farzi Café organised a special musical night with DJ Shaan. The young DJ set the floor on fire with his energetic mix of house and EDM tracks. On Sunday, foodies headed to the launch party of Secret Affair, an all-new restaurant in Jubilee Hills. Guests were seen relishing the best of Italian cuisine.

Ending the week with another beautiful cause was the finale of Miss Ability 2018 at Shilpkalavedika on Sunday. Giving women with a physical disability a breakthrough, the jury members were Anuradha, director of Anoo’s Salon and Clinic, Rashmi Thakur, among others. As we watched the girls walk the ramp, we believed that when a dream is combined with hardwork, it will surely come true.
