I kickstarted my weekend with Sanskruti Ladies Club’s Bharat Ki Noor party, which celebrated the joy of freedom on Thursday at Saptaparini. Ladies were dressed as freedom fighters for a fun competition, which was judged by renowned storyteller Deepa Kiran. The highlight of the event was certainly the tri-colour appetiser spread. Friday was all about food! Actor Allu Arjun launched the second outlet of the popular American food chain, Buffalo Wild Wings or B-Dubs in Gachibowli. The new restaurant offers virtual reality gaming portals and lounges seating along with delicious chicken wings, of course! Foodies were seen picking their favourites from the 12 signature sauces for their wings with a pint of beer.
Meanwhile, on the same day, I headed to the first anniversary of city’s popular unisex salon, V-ELL Beauty World. The celebration saw many P3Ps getting tips from experts on hair and skin care during the monsoon. Post the interaction, guests were seen relishing hot jalebis at the high tea party. Later that evening, city’s celebrities headed to Trident for the engagement of famous actor Rajshekher’s nephew Kartik with Dipti Sai. Pinky Reddy, Gopichand, Roja, Shivani Rajshekar, among others were present at the evening. The venue was decorated with beautiful flowers and bright-lit chandeliers.
On the other end, travel and photography enthusiasts headed to Gallery 78, Kothaguda, to check out Hyderabad-born architect Priya Tadinada’s solo exhibition, an ode to her travel experiences across 23 countries. The two-day exhibition took viewers through three themes — wander, space void and glimpse — myriad experiences, places and seasons — with pictures captured on-the-go through her smartphone.
My week came to an end with the grand wedding of Indian Chess Grandmaster Harika Dronavalli with Karteek Chandra, a Hyderabad-based businessman on Sunday at N Convention. Telangana Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao and Andhra Pradesh Women Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni and other politicians and sportspersons were seen at the wedding.
