Partying on weekends is so 2017 and Hyderabad is certainly a city that keeps us with the times. So off it went on a mid-week party mode. The week was packed with a ladies club event, the opening of a fashion store and restaurant launches. The ring ceremony of Priya Bokadia and Alokji Bohra at SNC Convention on Monday set the tone for the week. Friends and family blessed the couple, posed for hashtag-worthy Insta stories and went back home after enjoying a lavish spread of Indian and Continental dishes as Bollywood music composer Himesh Reshammiya performed. Tuesday was action-packed with the engagement ceremony of Mohammad Sharaq with Fatima Begum at Eden Gardens. The food was over the top with royal food including haleem, Zafrani Biryani and special Badam Ka Kund. Among the guests were Congress leader Mohib Baig and Asaduddin, son of cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin.

Thursday was about soulful Sufi poetry by Iqbal Patni and an enthralling performance by Imran Khan at the annual event of Kakatiya Ladies Club at ITC Kakatiya. At the Bollywood music session, a few ladies broke into an impromptu dance to Padmavat’s eponymous number Ghoomar. Friday began with the Divinos Ladies Club’s Pre-Valentine’s Day bash. Dressed in Western outfits, the members were spotted sharing their love stories over cocktails. Meanwhile, foodies of Hyderabad headed to the launch of Chef Inam’s terrace top restaurant, Kingdom of Barbeque. It was inaugurated by the American Consulate’s Public Affairs Officer, Gabriel Hons-Olivier.

The big event this week was the launch of the Masaba Store at Jubilee Hills where Tollywood celebrities Kajal Aggarwal, Regina Cassandra, Rana Daggubati and shuttler Saina Nehwal made their presence felt.
Fashionistas and bike lovers headed to the Harley Davidson showroom on Saturday for a fashion show conceptualised by Sohel Mateen and supported by Brand Lunette. The show also featured an exclusive bike collection, Blackmagix, designed by Salma Khan for Harley Davidson. The week ended with the launch of Mahaveer Pearls’ new showroom at Basheerbagh, on Sunday.
