Studio Voylla finds a permanent address in the city

Vishwas Shringi of Studio Voylla insists that you can’t write off his brand as just an imitation jewellery line. Though made with a mix of silver, copper and brass, he reveals that the raw materials used are chosen with utmost care. The designs are also created by a team of experts who have their finger on the pulse of the hottest trends. “Our products are a cohesive blend of Western and Eastern sensibilities,” he says, when asked to describe the brand’s aesthetic.

Having made its foray into the fashion world through the e-retail space back in 2012 as Voylla Jewellery, it soon found itself being sold out of brick and mortar stores as Studio Voylla, which is a label by the original brand with exclusive designer collections inspired by Indian art and craft. With a presence in over 100 points across India, the label finally opened its first store in Benga-luru last week. “Bengaluru will always have a special place in our hearts as this was where Voylla was born, before we decided to set up our headquarters in Jaipur,” shares Vishwas.

The collections draw heavily from heritage crafts, be it the Madhubani line which is inspired by Madhubani art or Ajrakh, which includes Ajrakh block print motifs in cheerful hues of bright blue, red and yellow. “We launch two new collections every week, so there’s always something brewing in our studio,” says Vishwas. Apart from this, you’ll also find jewellery inspired by Rajasthani folk art, Rajput designs and Kutch craftsmanship.
