Oh so French!
Making a conscious attempt to move away from the grungy elements she used for her previous autumn/winter line, the designer has attempted to strike a balance between wearable cuts and intricate techniques in her new collection. “You can spot the French needlework technique of broderie anglaise with elements of Lucknawi Mukeish work,” says the Delhi-based couturier. The silhouettes are fuss-free, imagine skirts and shararas. “Expect a lot of layers and ruffles,”she says, adding,  “There are various versions of one look and every piece has its own story.”

The Chantilly tale
Light-weight fabrics like ultra fine yarns, silk, cotton and blends are the fabrics she has used. White and peach form the mainstay of her colour palette for the outfits. Chantilly lace, tulle, with embroidery in shades of ivory, gold, silver and nudes add to the elegant feel of the collection. However, despite the  detailed  design and embroidery, there is an effortless ease about  it, courtesy fabrics like cotton, crepes and laces.
