Designer Anushree Reddy, much like Audrey Hepburn, believes in the power of pink. She will be presenting her upcoming collection for Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2018 on February 3. For this, the self-taught designer derives inspiration from famous fashion columnist Diana Vreeland whose  quote, ‘Pink is the Navy Blue of India,’ inspires the name of the collection.

Vibrant measures
Known for dabbling with pastels, this Hyderabad couturier has embraced vibrant hues this time. “In this collection, you can spot outfits in nude to hot pink,” says the designer who is on the last leg of her preparation, which is admittedly the most difficult one. A sneak peek into her sketches suggest that one can expect designs in peach, fuchsia, blush pink with an accent of mustard yellows.

All about cuts
Her Patrons can expect a mix of wearable couture this time. “There’s going to be a mix of evening and bridal ensembles. Apart from lehengas for sangeet and wedding ceremonies, one can also find kurtas and cocktail dresses,” says the former alumnus of London School of Economics. The cuts will be the highlight apart from the colour palette this time. “There are many cuts in this collection,” says Anushree. Soft, summer-friendly fabrics like sheer organzas, pure silks and khadi have been used for this line. The highlight of this collection apart from the colour palette will be the cuts. She will be using zardosi for the bridal outfits and floral embroidery for the evening wear.  The collection will be available in Hyderabad studio soon at Banjara Hills soon after the show and people can place their orders by getting in touch with her team on their social media portal as well. The collection will be a complete shift from her autumn/winter collection, Niloufer, which was rather grand and heavy on embroidery.
