The latest rooftop restrobar in town, Log Sabha, is a rather irreverent take on the House of the People or Lok Sabha. However, it is all in good humour. Located atop one of the most well-known live music destinations, The Moonshine Project, this all-new outlet is the latest addition to the slew of pubs in Jubilee Hills. “We want the common people to come here and have a good time. Hence, we call it the Log Sabha. Come, unwind enjoy our grills and drinks,” says co-owner, Hemender Reddy. He owns the outlet along with his partners – Jaydev Moturi, Kamal Reddy, Shalivahan Reddy and Adarsh.

Under the stars
The alleyway is adorned with pop-themed paintings and amusing captions created by duo Nikhil and Chandni Kapoor, titled #humansoflogsabha. There’s also a cheeky mural, encompassing an entire wall, that instantly catches your attention and is obviously inspired by the proceedings in the Lower House. We find ourselves a place next to the bar counter which resembles a vintage camping truck. “This place looks beautiful on moonlit nights, as you can star gaze even as you have a drink,” says Hemender. And if that’s not what you fancy, you can sway to the live music as the city-based DJs churn out tunes on the turntable. There’s a large screen TV that plays Indian Premier League and League Soccer matches. The décor truly is the talking point of the outlet!

Sips and shots
As we sit down on the table, we are welcomed by vodka-based Jelly Shots in two variants – orange and strawberries. A plate of Singapore Chilli Prawns is the first starter to arrive. The prawns placed on a banana leaf, with tomatoes on top make for a colourful dish. The delicate balance of sweet and sour and the freshness of the prawns make this offering a winner. We are next offered the ‘Pepsi’ cocktail. Remember the coloured colas in thin plastic pouches we enjoyed as children in the hot summer months? This drink is served in similar pouches and is reminiscent of those Indian colas; albeit this one has a dash of vodka.

Post that, we are offered The Badsha Kebab, served with mint chutney. The succulent pieces of chicken goes well with the cocktails rustled up by the bartender. However, the dish that we loved the most was the Lime Mojo Chicken Wings with the chilli mayo dip.

The chicken wings are perfectly cooked with the right amount of sweetness. Just before we bid adieu, we try the Saint – a vodka-based drink comprising fresh cucumber juice and tender coconut water, making it quite apt for the sunny day.
