Following a fitness regimen might turn out to be a costly affair — be it owing to gym memberships or by recuperating from injuries due to bad form and incorrect training. For such fitness enthusiasts who lack guidance and are yet keen on pursuing their dream of a fit lifestyle, My Bollywood Body, a fitness channel on YouTube is perhaps the answer. With over 8,66,226 subscribers and counting, the channel is gaining popularity as one of the most helpful resource of fitness videos.
From plans such as Beginner’s Full Body Workouts, Home Exercises, Body Building For All to Fat Loss Diet Plan and Weight Gain Diet Plan, there is a lot on offer for different needs. Started by Canada-based fitness expert Riz Sunny, who has been in the industry since 2003, My Bollywood Body offers daily videos to help you follow a regular regimen. “Our idea is to facilitate the concept of e-gymming for those who want to stay in shape but have no time or can’t afford expensive gym memberships. We have more than 350 videos to choose from where people can learn more about weight loss, weight gain and muscle building,” says the fitness expert.
Apart from the regular fitness plans and workout videos, the channel also focuses specifically on women’s fitness and includes playlists such as Women’s Bonus Workouts, Women’s Ab Workouts and Women’s Workout Tips. Talking about the necessity of special segments for women, Riz says, “The reason I thought of this concept is because I realised that weight loss in general and specifically through PCOS and thyroid is a growing problem among women and most programs don’t show the right picture and use fancy terminology. Through my videos, I wanted to simplify the idea and help as many women as possible.”
Though he uses the word ‘Bollywood’ in the title of his channel, Riz stays away from celebrity training. “It’s a conscious call not to train celebs because if I take it up then I will need to give all my time to the celebrity and will not be able to train my regular clients,” he says. For now, Bollywood Body is focusing on guiding regular people with their fitness plans at no cost.
