Every aspiring DJ needs to be focused and serious about music, DJ’ing, dancing and entertaining people at the event ensuring they have a good time. This doesn’t mean just staying focused on those two-three hours you are performing, but also you as a whole personality need to know what to do before and after an event, and how to maintain yourself at that particular level. Most people forget that focus is one of the most important parameters needed to be a DJ or any artist for that matter.

All DJ's need to inspire and motivate ourselves all the time to do something new and try to evaluate what better can DJ;s bring out or what changes can be done within ourselves, and how one can become better to move ahead. This whole routine and pattern should not get complacent and monotonous into the regular schedule. The excitement would not remain and would become like any other regular job that gets boring after a while. Being a DJ is one of the most exciting job profiles one can have, but if not handled well it will just disrupt everything. I also think basic things are essential to know before becoming a DJ, like how to mix songs, how to interact with the crowd, mic skills and a little bit of technical knowledge would give you the extra edge and would be of help in the long run. There are many software, which have been introduced, but DJ Paroma always says, they are meant for convenience and should not be used to just get into this profession. It is also all within you. There are some people who just get into some industry to prove a point with no deep and genuine interest in the field; they will also fade off soon with time. What matters is that if it is there within you and know you are capable of being a DJ then it takes a lot for a DJ to rock a party, right from a track list to creating a mode and a vibe at the event to the way you play and to interact with the crowd, and in the end seeing a smile on all their faces is the ultimate achievement unlocked. There should be a sense of sound, music and rhythm as well.

The whole desire to know all of these basics and have it in you is important to become a successful DJ. This is one concept DJ Paroma says she does not understand, any profession that people step in or any art form, if they are not true to it, I don’t think there is a high chance of valuing it and respecting what you are into. Also, all DJ's have to be grounded at all times, no matter how high you are and whatever has happened in your life. Never forget to count your blessings. It is the love from people and the respect you receive, that is going to keep you going in life. If you are not grounded, this can backfire.  It is such an amazing profession to be a DJ, see everyone dance and give everyone a great time. Every DJ needa to be patient at all times and cannot lose patience in the beginning. Just hold on, as your hard work and determination will pay off soon someday, says DJ Paroma.
