Radhika Apte, Castle actor Stana Katic to star in female-driven World War-II drama

The film is said to be centred around British intelligence officer Vera Atkins, who is played by Stana Katic and two of the women Virginia Hall (Sarah) and Noor Inayat Khan (Radhika).

Indian actor Radhika Apte will join "Castle" star Stana Katic and "Equity" actress Sarah Megan Thomas in an untitled spy drama movie where she features as Noor Inayat Khan.

The production work for the movie will start in the spring for principal photography as Linus Roache and Rossif Sutherland have also been cast in the project. They are cast based on the real-life spies in Winston Churchill's "secret army".

Interestingly, the film is said to be centred around British Intelligence officer Vera Atkins, who is played by Stana Katic and two of the women Virginia Hall (Sarah) and Noor Inayat Khan (Radhika).

The movie is a journey of the three civilian women who form a trio and get entangled in missions to turn the tide of the war. Sarah Megan Thomas has written the screenplay and it will produce it with Lydia Dean Pitcher, who is set to direct it.

Atkins is a crafty recruiter with a secret of her own. Hall is a daring American with a wooden leg who was the first female field agent and ultimately the spy the Nazi's dubbed "the most dangerous of all", and Khan is a pacifist of Indian descent who was the first female wireless operator. These civilian women form a sisterhood while entangled in missions to turn the tide of the war.

Thomas wrote the screenplay and will produce with Lydia Dean Pilcher who is set to direct.
