A lot of Bollywood actors help each other out in their times of need and the most recent seems to be Salman Khan. The actor is said to have recently helped his former co-star Pooja Dadwal beat tuberculosis after she was admitted at a Mumbai hospital for the sickness. Salman through his Being Human foundation helped in the treatment of Pooja, who starred with him in the 1995 film Veergati.
According to various media reports, Pooja is said to be have been n a dire condition but was discharged on Tuesday after she was funded by Salman Khan’s foundation. The 44-year-old said they helped her with vitamin and protein supplements which helped her gain weight and make her health better. In an interview, the actress said before the treatment her lungs were severely affected and she could barely walk or breathe. However, the doctor said that she fought the bacteria causing the disease only because of her willpower and a little help.
Pooja said when she was admitted she thought she would die but survived the ordeal only because of Salman Khan. However, the doctor said the Veergati actress will have to continue taking the medication for another month, until she can regain her strength and get back on her feet.
