A week after the release of Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju, it has been reported that the film has earned over 200 crores in its first week. The movie which is a biopic of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, and the latter has received a lot of good reviews for nailing the look and the performance of the Sanju baba; so it is no surprise that it has crossed 200 crores already.
According to several media reports, Sanju is Ranbir’s first film to have crossed the 200-crore club and interestingly, it reached the 100-crore mark in the first three days itself. With the milestone, it has beat Salman Khan-starrer Race 3 to become the highest opening day grosser in 2018. It has also crossed the lifetime business of Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots which earned Rs 202.47 crores whereas Sanju has earned 202.51 crores.
Sanju has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani and has a star cast with the likes of Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, Vicky Kaushal as his best friend Kamlesh, Manisha Koirala as Nargis, Dia Mirza as Maanayata Dutt along with Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Jim Sarbh.
