The monsoon brings a lot of frizz to any hair type. But the most affected are the ones with curly hair. Actress Mithila Palkar, who has always rocked her curly hair looks, says that managing a hair type like hers comes with a few troubles. "The rainy season increases my problem tenfold as the humidity makes it frizzy. Even if I have to go out casually, I need to pay special attention to my hair. I have also learnt some quick hairstyles like a half bun or tying up plaits on one side of my hair,” said the Mumbai-based actress in a recent interview with a media organisation.
Mithila, who is known for the strong character she portrayed in web series Girl in the city, prefers to go easy on her hair when she’s off camera. "Whenever I’m in front of the camera, my hair goes through harsh styling. But I ensure that my off-camera time is all about letting my hair down and letting it breathe! To protect my hair from breaking, I never comb my hair when it's wet,” shared the 25-year-old.
Apart from applying a few drops of serum after a hair wash, Mithila said that she also stays away from over styling. As an actor, one is expected to look best and often might not have a lot of time in hand. “I keep a serum handy to save time and it also helps a hairstyle stay for longer. I damp my hair, take 2-3 drops of serum and apply it through the length of my hair. My hair becomes smooth and gets a glossy finish. Alternatively, I use a dry shampoo to style my hair when I am in a hurry,” she said.
Mithila has been named in 30 under 30 list of young achievers by the Forbes magazine and also has a Bollywood film, Karwaan, set to release in August this year.
