Actresses all over the world are being trolled for their pictures on the Internet, and while not many people come to their rescue, there are some who don’t think twice in defending them. Baaghi actor Osman Khalid Butt came to the rescue of Pakistani actress Saba Qamar after she was trolled for pictures of her which were leaked on the internet.
According to various media reports, the leaked pictures of a behind the scenes shoot with Saba saw her in a translucent white button-down with a cigarette in her hand, and Twitter did not waste too much time in making fun of her. However, her co-star Osman immediately shared a post saying that trollers should stop looking for reasons to pull down their icons. He also went on to say that people should stop sharing and commenting on the videos and pictures. Instead, people should speak out against the person who leaked the photos for social media infamy.
Interestingly, while he called the trolling an all-too-familiar misogynistic, repulsive rhetoric, this is not the first time he has come out in support of his female co-actors. Earlier, when fellow Pakistani actress Meesha Shafi spoke out against sexual harassment by Ali Zafar, he stood by her while everybody else called it a publicity stunt.
