Here’s why a Kenyan Conservancy named a baby rhino after Bollywood actress Dia Mirza

Dia has also asked people to click a picture with the baby rhino named after her and tag her in the photo.

Bollywood actress Dia Mirza is busy indulging in the success of her recent film Sanju but she is also receiving love from across the world. Recently, a Kenyan Conservancy named a baby rhino after the film star because of her outstanding work as a UN Goodwill Ambassador for the environment.

According to media reports, the actress shared the news on her Facebook page and thanked the authorities at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy for the gesture. She also went on to ask people to help Hamid Hussain, Muhammad Yaqoob and CEO Richard Vigne in their mission to save and conserve wildlife. The actress also went on to state that people can visit the property called Serena Sweetwaters where every visitor can help save wildlife. Dia has also asked people to click a picture with the baby rhino named after her and tag her in the photo.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that Dia Mirza has been involved in preserving wildlife. A while ago, she adopted two leopard cubs from a Lucknow Zoo and named them Ashoka and Nakshatra after the zoo authorities requested her because their mother was named Dia. The actress last played the role of Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanayata Dutt in the film Sanju, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and received a lot of praise for her role.
