Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of late actor Sridevi, made her Bollywood debut with Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak. The film that was co-produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, was an adaptation of Marathi hit film Sairat and also starred Ishaan Khatter in a key role.

Sridevi had breathed her last in February and ever since then, it's been a tough ride for her family and particularly her daughters Janhvi and Khushi. Janhvi recently talked about her loss and shooting for Dhadak post her mother's demise in an interview with a leading publication.

According to reports, she said, “No. I haven't got around the acceptance stage yet. It's just that there hasn't been time or I haven't allowed myself the time to come to terms with everything. There's a stage of denial that we're all going through.”

While adding that she thought she would lose her mind if she didn't go to work, Janhvi further added, “I wanted to shoot the next day after the cremation. But the shoot got cancelled. I was like, No, I must go back, I need to be on the set. And I would have, promise you, if I didn’t have Dhadak. If I didn't have the opportunity to act or be in front of the camera, there would have been no purpose in life to keep me going.”
