Actress Kiara Advani’s performance has easily stood out in the Netflix show Lust Stories. However, she has been facing a lot of criticism from the audience for her scene in which she gets an orgasm. Talking about the scene, Kiara has said that it is no more a taboo to show women’s desire on screen and it wasn’t any different shooting for it too.
According to several reports, Kiara who played the lead role in the Karan Johar-directed film in the four-part anthology said that it is because of Lust Stories that people have started having a conversation. The actor plays a newly-married woman who has an uninteresting sex life shown in a very funny way. She went on to say that while kissing scenes were considered a huge deal before, viewers are now getting used to it. While all of them will not be okay with it, it will take time as they will realise that there is no point in making a big deal out of it.
Kiara said that everybody today is educated and aware as well as exposed to everything around them and as long as it is not out of context it is okay. At the end of the day, lust is a by-product of love, Kiara said. The 25-year-old actor said that she went with the vision of Karan Johar and it was not awkward at all for her to shoot the orgasm scene, as all of them are professionals, and were doing their job.
Lust Stories is an anthology film with four stories directed by Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee and Karan Johar and is turning out be a hit among many people. The films feature Radhika Apte, Akash Thosar of Sairat fame, Neha Dhupia, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal amongst others.
