Margot Kidder, who is famous as the original Lois Lane in Christopher Reeves' Superman, passed away on Sunday. She was 69. Her manager confirmed that she was at home at the time of her death and passed away in her sleep. 

Several Hollywood personalities took to Twitter to express their sadness over Kidder's death. From Mark Hammil, Kumail Nanjiani, Edgar Wright, Clark Gregg to Elijah Wood, everyone was in a state of shock and dismay.

Mark Hammil wrote, "On-screen she was magic. Off-screen she was one of the kindest, sweetest, most caring woman I've ever known. I'll miss you #MargoKidder. Your legacy will live on forever."

Apart from Superman films, she was also known for cult classics like Black Christmas and Sisters.
