American rapper Kanye West on Tuesday surprised twitter users all around the world when he randomly tweeted about Indian spiritual leader Amma Mata. The rapper who returned to social media after a year in April this year has been tweeting about various topics but this seemed to come out of nowhere leading to netizens making fun of him instantly.

Kanye in two separate tweets said “We all need hugs” and he followed it by putting up a picture of Mata Amritanandamayi and stated that she has given over 32 million hugs. While nobody has an idea what made him follow the spiritual guru, Twitter users are leaving no stone unturned in making fun of his sudden devotion. However, the rapper has also had supporters sharing their spiritual experiences with him.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that Kanye has grabbed the attention of people. Recently, on a television show, the rapper said the enslavement of African American people must have been a “choice” sparking outrage all over the internet. He even wrote in support of American President Donald Trump and has been facing backlash for presenting new ideas.
