Kim and Kourtney Kardashian evacuate homes in California as wildfire spreads

As of Friday morning, more than 20 million people were under red flag warnings across the state, reports said.

Kim Kardashian was among the many citizens who had to flee their homes as wildfires spread through California late Thursday. The reality TV personality reportedly said that she was forced to evacuate her Calabasas, California, home due to the fire. In an Instagram story, she wrote, “Pray for Calabasas. Just landed back home and had 1 hour to pack up & evacuate our home. I pray everyone is safe.”

As per reports, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star had originally filmed the flames from her private jet only to find on landing that those flames were part of the Woolsey Fire burning near hers and her husband Kanye West’s compound.

Thousands of residents were forced to evacuate as firefighters worked to contain the blaze. As of Friday morning, more than 20 million people were under red flag warnings across the state, reports said. 

The 38-year-old also thanked the first responders for keeping the community safe before recording the firetrucks and police cars. The fire also impacted surrounding areas including Calabasas, Kourtney lives, who also chose to evacuate.
