Victoria’s Secret’s model Adriana Lima, who had become synonymous with the international label, walked the ramp for the last time on Thursday. The 37-year-model has walked at 19 annual shows of the label. This year’s annual edition was back in New York after international romps in Paris (2016) and Shanghai (2017).
The organisers paid a special tribute to Adriana with a video montage featuring the most iconic clips from her past Victoria’s Secret’s shows. The video concluded with a thank you message, and the catwalk was darkened, as Adriana walked the ramp under a spotlight.
She strutted solo and as she reached the end of the runway, an emotional Adriana had tears in her eyes. The crowd present rose to its feet and cheered for the supermodel at her last but grand VS show.
In a post on her official Instagram profile, the model thanked Victoria’s Secret for the opportunity given to her.
