Sharing a recent anecdote, popular Hollywood actor Liam Neeson said that a horse remembered him on the set of his new Coen brothers film, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, from their work together on a previous film. “I play a travelling impresario. We filmed in New Mexico. The odd thing is the horse who pulls my wagon knew me,” the 66-year-old reportedly said to a leading media organisation at the New York Film Festival. “You won’t believe it. I’m saying this horse knew me. He actually remembered me from another Western we made a while back.”

Neeson did not reveal the name of the horse but said he knew it knew was him by the way it greeted him. He whinnied when he saw me. And pawed the ground,” he added. According to reports, Neeson didn’t identify the movie set where he first became acquainted with the horse, he did appear in 2014’s A Million Ways to Die in the West

While a few fans were cynical, Russell Crowe was quick to offer support, saying he formed a similar bond with two different horses, including one he met while filming Gladiator. “There’s a horse, George, who I gave the speech in the forest in Gladiator on. Years later he was on the set of Robin Hood and we would have a chat every day”: he said on Twitter.
