With the #MeToo movement gaining momentum, a lot of Bollywood celebrities are being called out for sexual harassment women on various occasions. Popular Bollywood director Sajid Khan, who also has several women accusing him of assault has taken the matter seriously and released a statement saying he will be stepping down as director of Housefull 4.

In a tweet, Sajid released a statement saying that he would be stepping down as the director because of the recent allegations against him as it has put a lot of pressure on him. He went on to add that the pressure has also been on his family and the producer of Housefull 4 and taking moral responsibility, he has decided to take the major step. Sajid also said that he will not get back to the job till the truth is out about the case. Soon after Sajid, Akshay Kumar requested the producers of the film to stop the production till the truth is out.

Interestingly, Twinkle Khanna has apparently urged the team to make a decision because it is more than one person who has been accused of sexual harassment. This is the first time Twinkle has reacted to the #MeToo campaign on a personal level. While she did support Tanushree Dutta earlier, she was criticised for letting Akshay shoot a film with Nana Patekar, even though there is so much going on around him.
