Veteran actor Dilip Kumar discharged from hospital in Mumbai after getting treated for pneumonia

Close family friend Faisal Farooqui tweeted about the discharge through Dilip Kumar’s Twitter handle saying the actor has returned home from Lilavati hospital.

Bollywood’s veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been discharged from the hospital in Mumbai four days after been admitted for recurring pneumonia. Close family friend Faisal Farooqui tweeted about the discharge through Dilip Kumar’s Twitter handle saying the actor has returned home from Lilavati hospital. 

According to various reports, the doctors have advised Dilip Kumar completely rest and also isolation so that he can recover entirely from the infection. The actor is also said to be responding perfectly well to the treatment and showing positive signs. Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital on October 7 after severe chest congestion. The 95-year-old is known for films like Mughal-e-Azam, Naya Daur and Ram Aur Shyam, among others. 

Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu celebrated their 52nd anniversary on Friday as the latter shared a touching note about him and their married life. In the note she said, "My Kohinoor, my sahab, the man of my dreams, my Yusuf jaan and I can't thank enough- the millions of well-wishers, friends and family for your beautiful messages, calls and greetings on our 52 years of marriage."
