Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has come a long way since he first started out on television before he moved to act in some of the most iconic films in the industry. However, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is definitely one of his favourite films and even his fans will agree, as he played Raj and Kajol played Simran in the romantic film.
On Wednesday, Shah Rukh tweeted saying the film has completed 23 years and he couldn’t thank fans enough for loving Raj and Simran so much over the last 1200 weeks. Interestingly, the actor has more than one reason to celebrate because October 16 earlier this month marked 20 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, with Kajol and Rani Mukerji, which was also a big hit. Incidentally, Shah Rukh Khan also marked 26 years in the industry this year and it doesn’t look like he is going to stop any time soon because he has a lot lined up for him.
Shah Rukh Khan is currently working on Zero with Salman Khan, as the film is set to release later this year. The Aanand L Rai comedy-drama will see Shah Rukh Khan play a dwarf, and will also see Anushka Sharma in the leading role.
