Abhishek Bachchan is busy working on the promotions for his upcoming Bollywood film Manmarziyaan and while talking about it in an interview, he revealed that not all was okay between him and Anurag Kashyap. The actor said that while they worked on Yuva together, Abhishek felt that the director may have been disappointed with his work but they never spoke about it ever.
According to the interview, Abhishek said while Anurag wrote the 2004 film, which in fact was quite a hit, the director spent a lot of time doing readings for the film and may have been disappointed to see it when it finally came out. However, they never spoke about it and have put everything behind them as they worked on Manmarziyaan together. Interestingly, it is Anurag Kashyap’s first romantic film as all the others are known to be quite dark and serious.
However, Abhishek said that Manmarziyaan ticked all the boxes for him and he knew Anurag was going to help him do that. Adding that he would never let ego come in the way of his work, and he instantly wanted to be uncomfortable while doing the film. Manmarziyaan releases on September 7 and also stars Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu.
