Salman Khan is busy shooting for Bharat, and while he may have just returned from Malta to Mumbai, director Ali Abbas Zafar has made a big announcement for the film. Former Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff will be joining the cast and it is said he will be playing Salman Khan’s father in the film.
According to several media reports, Ali said he has always wanted to work with Jackie because he is the perfect amalgamation of a star and actor and this was the perfect opportunity. He went on to add that within 20 minutes of reading the script to Jackie Shroff, he agreed to do the film. Both of them have even discussed dates and looks for the film. Sources have said that a substantial part of the film shows the bond between a father and his son, and Jackie’s inclusion seems like the perfect fit.
Interestingly, Zaffar had earlier said that Salman lets him make all the decisions for his films, and he only takes advice when necessary, to take a step for the film. The film includes a star cast of Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Tabu and Sunil Grover among others. The film is set to release on June 9 in 2019.
