Saif Ali Khan is reportedly set to play second fiddle to Ajay Devgn in his upcoming film Taanaji: The Unsung Hero, which is based on the Maratha freedom fighter Taanaji Malusare. While the project was announced earlier this year, the casting turned out to be an issue which is why it has been delayed, however, now that Saif has agreed, according to rumours, it should go on floors soon.

According to various media reports, Ajay had to personally meet and convince Saif to play a role in the film which is one of the toughest while also being unique. The report also says that Saif decided to never play the supporting character in a film after Kal Ho Na Ho in 2003, where he shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan. Interestingly, this will be a first in a long time for Saif Ali Khan who is known to share good chemistry with all his co-actors while also sharing screen space with them.

However, neither Saif Ali Khan nor the production house has confirmed his presence in the film. Saif will be seen in Bazaar, which comes just after his role Sartaj Singh in popular Netflix series Sacred Games. On the other hand, Ajay Devgn will be seen in Total Dhamaal, which will also star Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor among others.
