Disney is enlisting superheroes as the company prepares to launch its upcoming streaming service. The entertainment company is in the early development of an ambitious plan for many series centred on popular characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), said reports. Actors Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen, who portrayed these characters in the Avengers films and their spin-offs, are expected to play them in the streaming shows. However, neither Marvel nor DC have commented on the matter.

In addition to these newly reported series, Disney has already announced that it will be delivering audiences the first live-action Star Wars series, which is being developed by Jon Favreau.
