Oscar-nominated Rajkummar Rao's Newton gets leaked online

Within a day of its release, Rajkummar Rao's Netwon gets leaked online. The pirated version of the complete movie, including HD versions are now available for download and online streaming on many torrent sites. This is after the film being nominated last day for the Oscars.

Rajkummar Rao had shared the news of the movie being selected for the Oscars on Twitter last day. He wrote: “Very happy to share this news that NEWTON is India’s official entry to the OSCARS this year. Congratulations team.”

Rajkummar told PTI, “It is a really honest film and we are already getting an overwhelming response. We will put all our energies to take the film forward.”

The movie also had received a good response at its premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. It also won the CICAE Award for the best film in the Forum section. The movie is India's official entry for the 90th Academy Awards which will take place on March 4, 2018, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
