Executive producers ABC studios on Friday apologised for portraying a controversial scene in Quantico that shows Indians in a bad light. The particular scene in the show depicts Indian nationalists as terrorists who try to frame Pakistan in a terror plot. However, their apology said that they regret stepping into a complex political situation and they did not intend to offend anyone.

The Quantico episode titled The Blood of Romeo aired on June 1 depicts Priyanka Chopra’s who plays FBI agent Alex Parrish in a situation where she prevents a terrorist attack before a summit between India and Pakistan. However, during her investigation, she happens to find a Hindu religious symbol which makes her conclude that Indian nationalists were involved in trying to make it look like Pakistan had done it. Many fans were upset about the scene and took to Twitter and also criticised Priyanka Chopra for the scene.

ABC studios immediately took to support the actor and said that Priyanka had no role in writing or directing the show and she isn’t to be blamed for the scene and has been unfairly aimed for the scene. The show, however, will not be getting a fourth season and the current third season is being currently aired on Indian television.
