Saturday began with buzzwords such as – influencers, social networking and fan-celeb connect – flying thick and fast. It was the launch of CelebKonect, a social networking and engagement platform. The venue, Kaleido Pub, therefore, had the influencers in attendance. Tollywood and TV stars Deepu Naidu, Hari Teja, Jonita Doda, Priya Krishna, Priyanka Raman were spotted at the event. Through this app, celebs can monetise their time while connecting with their fans on a personal level, explained Raja Jata, the company’s Managing Director.

Style Bazaar, the ultimate fashion exhibition at Taj Krishna, was my next destination. Actress Diksha Panth unveiled the event, which brought in haute couture and exclusive designer wear for the shopaholics of the city. Later that evening, members of the Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL team launched the exclusive summer collection at the ninth showroom of Jahanpanah Kukatpally, men’s ethnic wear label. ‘Celeb-connect’ I would say, of a different kind though.

Although Mother’s Day is a few days away, the Million Mom’s launch at Hyderabad International Convention Centre brought in the day’s vibe pretty early. Founder Dr Mani Pavitra roped in prominent personalities such as Pinky Roshan, Pinky Reddy and Vanita Datla for the event.

Sunday saw the grand finale of Dreams, a welfare project to empower girls. The event, a series of creative workshops, was organised by Touch A Life Foundation for underprivileged girls from The Hyderabad Children’s Aid Society. Held at The Park, prominent personalities like N Ramachander Rao MLC, IPS, SA Huda, Dr Shoba Raju, Miss India AP Shreaya Rao were present cheering the girls who presented their talents. Next was the finale of Mrs India Telangana event at the same venue. Entrepreneur-designer Shilpa Reddy, Ananya Simlai, Amer Javed, among others crowned the title to the winner, Deepa Saxena.

On Monday, pop music enthusiasts of the city headed to Tabula Rasa – The Bar for a performance by the Toka Ensemble. As a part of the 10th year celebrations of The Hyderabad Western Music Foundation, the trio put a jazz spin to popular music from the iconic bands and musicians like Beatles and Etta James to ’90s pop tunes. No more Monday blues, only jazz!
