Be it savouring biryani or gourmet fare, Hyderabadis celebrated food in a big way this week. First up was the post-Eid bash, Dawat-e-Sheer Khorma, hosted by socialites Mohib Baig and Asim Hussain at Spice 6. P3Ps like Sreedhar Rao, Shanoor Sana and Sarib Rasool were seen enjoying the special Zafrani Biryani.

Later that evening, I headed to fashionista Anika Khara’s birthday bash at Amnesia Lounge Bar. Donning a pink flowy cocktail number, the birthday girl was seen dancing to Bollywood songs like Kaala Chashma and Bom Diggy with her friends.

The dancing continued as entrepreneur Rashed Khan and wife Inyah Sharon Khan celebrated their daughter Sanyah Khan’s birthday at Miami Cafe. Their two-year-old daughter stole the show in her pink baby-doll style dress. The talking point was certainly the two-tiered Barbie-themed cake.
Post the birthday shenanigans, I headed to the launch party of Macchi Jaal restaurant in Kothaguda. It was quite the busy week! Celebrity chef Ruchika Sharma, Shaniya Mishra, Ananya Simlai and Furhung Singh were spotted at the party.

On Friday, the Institute of Indian Interior Designers organised the third MID Showcase Insider X on Friday at Hitex Exhibition Center. The who’s who of the design fraternity were spotted at the event.
Saturday was all about socialite Shivali Singh, as her friends threw her a surprise baby shower party at Miami Cafe. She wore a flowy blue dress that perfectly offset the colourful décor. Meanwhile, to commemorate theatre doyen Qadir Ali Baig’s 34th anniversary, Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation staged a gripping play, Dayashankar ki Diary. Directed by Nadira Zaheer Babbar, the play featured National Award-winning film and theatre actor Ashish Vidhyarthi, whose brilliant performance won him a standing ovation at Taramati Baradari.

And the week came to an end with the launch of Pangea Gourmet Retail Store and Cafe Aura at Jubilee Hills. Guests chit-chatted, shared glasses of wines, champagnes and hors d’oeuvres such as canapés. The managing directors, Sheshank and Sharukh Kumar, were seen chatting up people like Archana J Paranji, Jayanth C Paranji, Vinita Pittie, Shalini Bhadruka and DJ Arjun Nair were seen having a good time at the launch.
