You can bet that all of us Ladies took advantage of all the special treatment we received this week, thanks to Women’s Day. Across the city, celebrations were in full swing from complimentary spa sessions to treasure hunts, pretty much anything you could think of. My day started at Sephora at Phoenix MarketCity with makeup and high tea, where Ajoy Sengupta proceeded to work his magic on us. A flick here, a dab there and voilà’, we were transformed. Along with tips and tricks we also went home with armfuls of goodies.

Meanwhile, at Palladium, a select group of ladies had gathered at Satya Paul for a special tête-à-tête between Mathangi Srinivasamurti and Didem Atahan Fabig. The ladies discussed their shared love for saris while a few of the guests showcased the special Flawless Women’s Day saris by Satya Paul. It was a mix of models, social influencers and popular P3 faces. Next was the TEDxChennai at Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall on Sunday. The event saw some interesting speakers from all walks of life with the youngest being 12-year-old scientist Gitanjali Rao. For those who needed a stretch and a walk, glow in the dark ice cream caught our attention.

The blogger brigade was also seen in full strength at our next stop, skillfully documenting all the happenings for the social media universe. The presidential suite at the Park Hyatt Chennai was the place to be, for a special preview of the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2018 collection.Black and gold seemed to be the unspoken theme for the evening, not to mention a guest list that was decidedly young.

Things then took a foodie turn with a special Japanese dinner at GRT Grand, curated by Master Chef Hirofumi Masaki and Pastry Chef Yasushi Kawashimo. Guests got to sample authentic Japanese cuisine with everything from Sushi and Miso soup, to Katsu, Sukiyaki and more.  It was a relaxed vibe with the chefs answering questions along with live demos.
