With the festive season setting in, Hyderabad’s socialites were busy revamping their wardrobes and gearing up for the celebrations. The shopping spree began with the preview of Hi Life Exhibition at Novotel HICC last Wednesday. The luxury exhibition showcased the latest tradeshow comprising bridal saris, bright-coloured lehengas and salwar suits for the men. Spotted at the do was Tollywood actress Varshini Sounderajan and Diksha Pant, among other models including Sherlin Seth, Swetha Jadhav, Preeti Singh, Ritu Biradar and Nilofer Haidry.
Friday started with the launch party of Exotic Blooming Teas in Jubilee Hills on Friday. The evening was a learning experience for fitness aficionados, as the hosts discussed the benefits of consuming various kinds of tea. Socialites Poonam Verma, Sabiha Ali, Gulnar Virk, Sridevi Jasti, Lopamudra Lahiri and Archie Paranje participated in the chat. Post that, they were seen indulging in delicious homemade cinnamon buns and banana cakes with flavoured leaf tea.
Meanwhile, cinema lovers headed for an interaction with Manto’s lead Nawazuddin Siddiqui and director Nandita Das. The event began with Saadat Hasan Manto’s play, Sadak Ke Kinare, staged by city-based Darpan Theatre. Post that, the cast was seen discussing the life of the Pakistani playwright and the relevance of his work today.
Calling all the batmaniacs for a bash, Comic Con Hyderabad hosted the Batman Day celebrations at Over The Moon in Jubilee Hills. Fans of DC comic superhero were seen dressed as characters from the Batman series including Harley Quinn, Joker and Batman himself. The evening had cosplay, curated drinks and giveaways.
