India ace shuttler Saina Nehwal on Monday announced her marriage plans with fellow badminton player Parupalli Kashyap and said she will be tying the knot on December 16 later this year. The badminton star confirmed the reports after there were rumours circulating around their possible marriage but the date was unknown because of her busy schedule.
In an interview, Saina said December 16 was the only date available because she will be getting busy participating in tournaments after that, early in 2019. While the Premier Badminton League starts on December 20, the qualifiers for the Tokyo Games will begin soon after. The couple announced their marriage after Saina said she had known P Kashyap for over 10 years and found it very easy to talk to each other. The shuttler said in their busy worlds to be able to find somebody close all the time is quite difficult but they instantly took a liking to each other after they spent time on various tours together.
Saina Nehwal has been busy competing internationally, while also having PV Sindhu in India and the duo have performed well on many occasions. They will be going under the hammer for teams on Monday, in Delhi, where the auction will take place for the Premier Badminton League.
