The onset of a new season is always a good time to update your wardrobe and the seasonal LimeSoda pop-up may just be in time to get you started. Curated by Coimbatore-born entrepreneur Soundariya Anil, this edition marks the second pop-up hosted by her brand in the city. Focussing on day-to-night dressing and festive clothing, the two-day Summer Bazaar will present 35 designers showcasing apparel, accessories, jewellery and quick bites (for when you get hungry after the shopping) all under one roof. “Though Coimbatoreans love to experiment with their fashion, there aren’t many pop-ups here. The first edition was an overwhelming success. We have curated a mix of Indo-western silhouettes and ethnic wear for this edition,” says Soundariya.

Ushering in new indie labels, the pop-up will be the debut show in the city for Salem-based The Yarn Tales, that offers a mix of tailored-fits and breezy clothing through an eclectic collection of A-line dresses and cold-shoulder kurtas, palazzos and summer dresses among others. Inherently Indian, the brand makes use of resist-dye printing techniques and block printing like dabu. Keeping in line with Indian textile crafts, lookout for ethnic wear featuring Jaipuri fabrics and prints from Hyderabad-based brand Hour Glass Clothing, while drapes from kanjivarams to tussars will be showcased by city-based brand, Aradhana and Chennai-based Madras Maharani.

Promoting handmade goodies, the event will host Chennai-based brand Avec Amour that will put on display handmade photo albums and offers custom-made party favours, while Coimbatore-based brands Honey Bee will offer organic, all-natural skin care products. Apart from the usual shopping, LimeSoda is also putting together workshops, storytelling sessions and a makeover studio for children at the pop-up.

On April 18 and 19. At Brookefields Banquet Hall.
