Doubleu, a handbag brand, established in Italy, USA, Canada and Europe, launched their first store in Kolkata. A part of the Make In India initiative, the store in acropolis Mall was inaugurated by actor Koneenica Banerjee in the presence of Vivian William, national head, Doubleu and Anand Thirani, master franchisee for Doubleu in East India.
With production headquarters in Jaipur for the past one year, Doubleu bags evolve around the boundaries of fashion using a function driven design process and high quality materials. Doubleu offers a wide variety of ladies hang bags, messenger bags, party chic bags and more. There are great options for men as well.
The material used to make these unique hand bags is called Poly-Olefin, which is soft, tactile, strong, super light, washable and indestructible. Doubleu bags come with interchangeable accessories including the parts, base, handle, flap and inner pouch which are interchangeable, letting anyone change the bag themselves. These bags, Doubleu claims, will never have a wrinkle or scuff marks.
Environment and animal friendly, Doubleu bags boast of a zero pollution manufacturing unit.
“The speciality of Doubleu bags is the concept of ‘Make Your Own Bag’. Doubleu is the first such brand to introduce this concept. Customers can change the accessories making the bag a new one, at an affordable cost and create a customised fashion statement for themselves. After Kolkata, we have expansion plans in the rest of East,” says Anand Thirani, master franchisee for Doubleu in East India.
