The Wedding Street gives you a perfect wedding guide

From honeymoon packages to trousseau shopping, the Wedding Street, spread across 25,000 sq ft on the OMR, will help you nail your ultimate wedding checklist — and what’s more, they might also offer the space as a venue that could accommodate 1,500 guests.  Claiming to be a first in South India, it was launched in December at OMR Food Street. Totally, there are 25 stalls out of which only 15 are operational as of now. The services they provide range across on-site catering, audio equipment, costume designing, photography and return gifts. “Gone are the days when parents used to take control of the planning, now the couple themselves take responsibility for everything,” says Sharath Singh, the Chennai-based founder who earlier had stints with the Taj Hospitalities and Vibrant Events that dealt with corporate events.

Their app that was launched a year and a half ago is the idea behind what has developed into the Wedding Street now after eight months of planning. Over 250 weddings have been helped with their services so far through the app.  “All our vendors give us weekly feedbacks. They are all curated based on their availability, the budget they offer and popularity in their industries,” shares the Chennai-based owner. Every stall has two categories: high and low budget.
