For Hyderabad-based entrepreneurs Neha Shroff and Nitin Mor it wasn’t just carrying on the family’s textile legacy of 150 years that prompted them to take up the business. “There is a world of handcrafted drapes that need to be explored and this quest is endless. The variety of fabrics and embroidery that the country offers is immense,” says Neha.

Curating saris and running fabrics from the ‘United States of India’ that include states like Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh has been their calling believes Neha. Third time in the city for an exhibition under her label Second Skin, the 35-year-old is hopeful of finding a steady clientele. “Coimbatore has an eclectic taste. They love their pattu saris, but Kota saris, tussars and Benarasi georgettes are very well received.”
In time for wedding season, the pop-up will present their trousseau collection featuring lehengas, saris, kurtas and tunics. Expect a selection of Patan patola, paithani, Benarasi silk, organza, khadi, Kota zari, cotton saris with zari and tussar saris. Featuring floral prints, brocade work and zari, the exhibition promises a riot of vibrant colours for the trosseau line and bright summery hues through their other collections.

Wedding collection starts at `5,000. On March 20 and 21. At ITC WelcomHotel.
