It wouldn’t be farfetched to say that PostFold’s Café and Crisp collection is redolent of the patches and denim trend that has made a comeback this season. Hinged on surface detailing-embroidery, patches, computer and treadle embroidery, the collection, consisting of both men’s and women’s wear, aims at being a comprehensive desk-to-dinner line. “We preach that work and fun come in the same package. That’s exactly what the Café and Crisp symbolises,” says Ashish Gurnani, co-founder of the New-Delhi based e-store.
Predominantly in pastel shades of lavender, coral and cornflower blue, Café and Crisp features a range of summer-friendly fabrics like SUPIMA cotton, tencel, chambray and linen. “Besides being best suited to take the wearer from work to drinks, the focus is also on light-weight fabrics and stripes,” shares Aashray Thatai, co-founder of the two-year-old brand.
Featured across the collection, expect to find a play of lines on shirt dresses, culottes, tunics, maxis and boxy shirts for women and polo t-shirts and shirts for men. While slices of pizza, French fries, sippers and burgers are motifs that are central to the collection’s theme, the silhouettes lend to the line’s ability to slip into the purview of both work and after work-wear.
Look out for sleek off-shoulder collared shirts, exaggerated sleeve shirts with large cuff details and pleated blouses. “The placement of slits and bows on women’s apparel adds to its appeal as an all-inclusive daywork and party wear collection,” adds Aashray. The New-Delhi based brand, which is currently working on a new collection of pocket squares and scarves, also recently unveiled their capsule collection titled, Slogan, featuring quotes, and scribble text prints on a range of shirts, t-shirts and shirt dresses.
