Snail cream, sheet masks, gradient lips and now cloudless skin —there are no limits to what the Korean beauty industry comes up with, when it comes to trends. The good news is, we are not far behind in terms of catching up. From the glass skin trend (where the skin in completely flawless sans any blemishes or even texture) to volcanic ash masks, India has welcomed South Korean products with open arms. After the successful launch of the brand Innisfree in Chennai earlier this year, Palladium and Phoenix MarketCity, Chennai, will be  hosting a three-day K-BeautyCon featuring popular names from South Korea.

“The K-Beauty trend has been gaining traction in India and so we wanted to give Chennaites an exclusive experience with various Korean brands that are not available in the country,” says Murugan Raja, Centre Director for Phoenix MarketCity. The event will see leading South Korean brands and bloggers, and makeup artistes coming together. You can find several skincare and make up brands Lock Color and Limese, and find a display of make up brands like Leegeehaam, Aby Bom and Klairs. For skincare alone, you can brands like Coony, Kin Girls, Crazy Daise, Desembre and Cosrx.

If you’re lucky you might get some real face time with Joshua Kakade, a make up artist who has worked for several fashion weeks as well. Marking the launch of the K-Beauty Con, K-Pop influenced bands Music Group NaMu and Immortals Army will perform at
an outdoor concert as well.

Till September 22.
At Palladium, Phoenix
