#Foodporn is one of the most widely used hashtags on Instagram. For Atheena Wilson, a visual appeal for food was induced from her hotelier uncle who inspired her to picturise delicacies with a new eye. “Three years ago I took up the role of an assistant editor in a lifestyle magazine and developed my passion for presenting food in a certain way,” says Atheena, who has been sharpening her skill in London for the past one year. Though not strictly from a culinary background, Atheena says that “it’s an eye for elements of composition that matters.”

Pursuing an art and design history masters in London also brought her certain perspective. Immersed in the profession for over past couple of years—including developing an outlook on shooting food in a home environment—the stylist is hosting her second workshop in the city.

The day-long event is divided into two sections with the first dealing with principles of design, composition, and colour theory which would help in framing a better photograph. The second session would include hands-on experience where participants will indulge in live shoots.

Not strictly designed for professionals, the exposure would best benefit people who have a close relation to food including home bakers, restauranteurs, or potential food bloggers.
