New Harry Potter mobile game to let players attend Hogwarts

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a new mobile game that will finally allow players to take on the role of a wizarding student at Hogwarts. While the game is still in early development, the developers at Jam City and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment say that it will include most of the original professors from the series and "all of the magical classes" that fans love.

"The new game lets Harry Potter fans live the dream of becoming a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry by creating their own character and progressing through their years at Hogwarts. Along the way, players will participate in all of the magical classes and activities they have come to love – like Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Dueling Club, and more. Most of the iconic professors from the Harry Potter stories reprise their roles in the game," the developers said in their press release.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a mobile gaming experience inspired by J.K. Rowling’s spellbinding lore, and it will be an exciting, fun way for fans to experience the Wizarding World,” said David Haddad, president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

While there's no release date yet, the game has been announced for release in spring 2018.
